Flimsy trim pieces...

Post by Guest »

I recently cleaned up and installed 69 Adventurer badges on my truck. If you look at them funny, the A will fall off. Is the rest of the Adventurer trim that poorly made? I'd like to add it back onto mine, but not if it's going to fall apart. Or, would I be better off with generic aluminum or stainless trim cut to a more precise tolerance than the used factory pieces?

Oh, and does anyone know where to get the 69 up box type front fender emblems? I have one, went to pull another one off a junker, and as soon as I put a socket on the nut the pin popped off. Most fender trim here is the big nameplate, small tonnage box type. I'm willing to run either type, but, they have to match, don't want one type on one fender and the other type on the opposite side. I prefer the big emblems, but a 69 Adventurer should probably have the right exterior badging. Interior trim doesn't matter. Full on custom.
