MG, happens to mine too. It is winter in the NW. Condensation in cap, fuel filter, float bowl, etc. Add some iso-heet or such if it bothers you. And quit buying cheap fuel. Will behave better if the tank is kept full or close to full with good gas.

what? you didn't clean and paint that engine
before you installed it???? Ha!
Not that big of a deal really
at least you got some of the 40 years of cud off
I have a lot of odds and ends here to work with, but
if you have your old carb from your LA engine and any parts that were taken off when you swapped carbs it may
keep me from having to dig into my stuff a little....
worse case I can make just about anything we may need,
but having the old stuff may save a little work...

man wheres the smiley that slaps you silly when i need it??? thats a poly boy, aint you paid no attention??? LOL!! extra space is taken up by power steering hoses, rad overflow tank, and the pic angle makes it look tighter then it is. soon as i find the one of my 66, ill show you a wide open fender and hood space.

my 66 had nothing on the pass fender till i mounted a rad overflow tank on it. only thing hanging off the motor was the alt, the rest of the hood was wide open and i loved it. so simple it almost looked as if there wasnt enough there to actually work!
