62 -63 Front core support/header panel color ?

I'm restoring a 66 D100 but I like the earlier front ends better. I went to a junk yard and pulled the 3 piece front end off of a 62. I also pulled the front pannel and wanted to know if it should be body color or semi gloss black. You can see it through the grill.

They have been semi-gloss black on every stocker I've looked at. Regardless of body color. Paint it how you prefer.
