Brakes & bullbars

Post by Gilesie »

Hi Guys

This may sound like a silly question.

I was just wondering if any of the old Dodges over there run split line brake master cyl. As all of the early dodges in Austrailia run single lines.
They stoped making the Dodge trucks over here in 78 so I cant even compare to newer models

And also I have noticed that none of you guys have bullbars, are they illegal over there?

The www at the bottom will link to pics of my truck.

2 chamber master cylinders were mandated in the late 60s stateside.
Bullbars are legal here, just very hard to find for early trucks. It is either adapt one off a late model truck or custom build one.

I changed my '61 to a dual res. master cylinder. I
used a junction block from a '71W200 and flared &
ran my own lines. I have brush guards for a couple
of my trucks but I'm not sure if they'd qualify for
a "bull bar". The brush guards bolt to the top of the
bumper and are pinned to the frame by bar stock
rods that run through holes in the core support. A
lot of the military Sweptlines were outfitted with
brush guards.

I've hit a deer or two with my other trucks and I'm sure that they didn't make a dent as big as those water buffalos that you auzies have down there.
Bull bars just don't seem to have gained much interest here in North America.
