I recently noticed a drip coming from around my fuel pump. After a close inspection, I noticed it was coming from a small port atop the fuel pump. Removing the front bolt was no problem, but I couldn't get a socket or wrench around the rear bolt. What is the easiest way to get this bolt out?
It's a 67 W200 with a 383.
Thanks John.

Oops, I didn't sign in, thanks guys, John.Anonymous wrote:OK cudajimmy,I'll give that a shot. Hey guys, I think a flare wrench is similar to a box end wrench with a gap cut out so it can fit over tubes and pressure lines and what not ?
Thanks CudaJimmy

OK I know what a flare nut wrench is
I thaought it was a flank wrench---snap on flank wrench---
Some of the flare nut wrenches are too thick walled
to get into tight spaces
it's funny that some tools have such different names in different parts of the country

Okay, sorry I didn't get back sooner. Here are some pictures of a flank wrench. It's basically like an open end wrench, but it's got several little "grip" grooves in it so you don't have to get it clear around the nut. I think Craftsman has a similar wrench out now. The one pictured is metric, but I've got a metric and an SAE set. Snap On's run about $450.00 per set, but you can buy them individually, or as I stated before, maybe check out Sears. Hope this helps.

Thanks again cudajimmy, you cleared that up for me.
Fredm, I must apologize for my confusion, or drunkeness. After rereading cudajimmys first post without my beer goggles on, I see it is flank not flare.
Thanks guys
I need to stay away from the key board when I'm tuned up, if ya know what I mean.
