Carpeting question for '65 D100
I'm replacing/fixing the floor in my cab and am curious about replacement carpets.
Seeing as this truck had no floor covering at all in it when I got it....
Where do they end???
Do they roll over the edge shown in the picture???
What holds the edge down???

Thanks. I apologize for not using the search feature. I belong to several motorcycle forums whose search features are worse than useless. I have gotten in a bad habit of not even trying it anymore.
I've seen Kenny referenced before. Who is he? Does he have a web site?
Thanks again.

I also have a used set of corner trim I'd let go for $15. Send me PM if interested.

Another carpeting question.
I will be welding over the extra firewall holes over the weekend and I see five of these things poking through my firewall.......
They line up with about where carpeting might end (this truck didn't have any in it when I bought it). Are they somehow part of replacement carpeting that I should leave them???
Thanks.

Re: Carpeting question for '65 D100
If you're going to be putting carpet in or a factory rubber matt you will want these so you attach the carpet.
Those holes are both used for the sound deadening material on the firewall as well as to hold the carpet in place depending on exactly which hole you're talking about.

They should have a large flat head on them, inside the cab. They held the sound deadening/heat insulation board in place when truck was new. They dont come out easily, so often the heads get broken off.
Re: Carpeting question for '65 D100
OK. 4 of the 5 still have the heads on them. Are they used with replacement carpeting at all or can I close the holes up?
Thanks.
Thanks.
