Re: bed mounts
The bed mounts are blocks of (I think) Ash wood. I'm not aware of anyone who sells them. Are your old ones good enough to use as templates?

Re: bed mounts
I sold the bed off my parts truck several months back, and don't have plans to remove the bed off my '68 for several months yet. Perhaps Ben (CSS-Registry) has measurements from when he restored his truck?
Re: bed mounts
I bought mine about 1 1/2 or 2 years ago from Horkys wood and parts, but it appears that they no longer have them. I do not have the measurements but from observation the wood blocks in mine were not truly mounts but were spacers that were installed in the mounting channels to prevent the channels from compressing when the bolt was tightened. They were thicker than standard 2 x 4 lumber, and were rounded off on one side to fit the channel.
Although if you were not looking for correctness anything that would fill the channel with a bolt hole through it would be functional. ie: a stack of fender washers, multiple layers of wood with a hole drilled in it, etc.etc.

Re: bed mounts
My good friend is a furniture maker, and he said that it is a hard, moisture resistant type of mahogany.
The mahogany he bought me is very hard, and has a very red color to it. Says 43 JATOBA on it, if that means something?
I asked him...isn't mahogany a soft wood, and he said there are many types of mahogany, some soft, some hard.
He knows a lot more about wood than I do, so I dunno.
