Hood options

Post by SteveM »

Hello all,
My question is regarding a front end swap.
I have an opportunity to pickup a 65 front core support and grill assembly to change out a 69 front.
I don't have a early hood just a 68 straight bottom lip one.
Will the 65. Grill wings interfere with the hood bottom lip?
Also how funky is a big back window with a 65 front?
I like the 65 look.
Thanks, Steve

I have found an early 4 headlight unit and question if the 68 hood will touch the upper grill parts. Until i can find a early hood.

Are you selling your 69 front grill by any chance?

Yes, the 68 hood will bang into the grill. 68 hoods are 1 yr only so if its in great shape its worth way more than the correct hood you need, which was used 61-67.
