Round Mirror Refinishing

Post by my5thmopar »

I have an original OEM round mirror that needs refinishing. Was the mirror secured in the housing with something like window glazing or seam sealer? Craig

I could be wrong but I think the metal is formed around the glass.

The mirror on mine is tinted. I’m just wondering if yours is or if it was some strange option. My interior mirror is too. Only the interior is original.

Yes, it is formed around the glass and possibly tinted or old glass. I haven't looked at in the sunlight. I saw a NOS and it has some sort of gasket. I thought Bud, or one of the Older guys would know. Craig
