Cab and Saw Horses
I want to mount cab on two WOOD saw horses. Would your standard pair of saw horses be strong enough? Typical wood sawhorse can hold about 250 lbs e/. I don't know weight of cab. I can remove doors, but not the windshield.

Re: Cab and Saw Horses
So can anyone give me an approximate weight for the cab?
Re: Cab and Saw Horses
No idea on the weight, but I would not trust it to wooden saw horses unless I made heavy duty versions myself.
As a carpenter for over 40 years, I have seen more than my share of wooden saw horse failures when pushed too far.

Ok thx. Ya, I won't need to do any work on the cab itself, but will need to uncouple it and drive out to blast the frame.

Maybe I should be using support jacks for this type of thing. Any specific type?

A fully stripped cab w/o doors, fenders, hood, glass, dash, etc, weighed almost exactly 300# when I put one on a scale.

Ok thanks. I'm probably at around 350 then.
