65-68 shortbed box price?

Post by carlosray »

Hello again everyone. I appreciate the help on my last post I made a few months back regarding Lu-2 winches for my 65 w100.

This time I have a similar question but regarding a shortbed box? My w100 was given to me by a very kind gentlemen months ago but it never came with a bed. What is a fair price for one? I have my sights on an actual sweptline short box not a utiline. It’s in good shape with very little rust(just below the tail lights), a solid tail gate and no dents that I can see from the photos. The dude who is selling wants $1400 for it. It seems like it’s a fair offer as I have never ever seen a shortbed unless you count a shortened longbed which was done pretty well.

Again I’m only 19 and I know things were dirt cheap before I was ever born or even a thought but I’m newer to these trucks. The only other experience I have is from working on Suzuki samurais if anyone has heard of those.

I really appreciate everyone’s time beforehand. If this pans out maybe I’ll include some photos for those who are curious?

$1400 sounds good to me provided the rust is only on the surface & dents are minimal.
