Has anyone ever laid their cab on the back wall? Was wondering if it’s strong enough. Need to work on the bottom and really don’t want to lay underneath. I know a rotisserie is best but not in the cards. Thanks.

Re: Cab rear wall strength
That depends on what you lay it on. It also depends how structurally sound the cab is.
I don’t see a problem with it if your not worried about scratching paint.

Did mine that way. Finished everything including paint. Back on painted frame and finished it up.

Absolutely strong enough! I lay them on the back on a couple timbers as a ramp, then drag them up onto the flatbed. Have also slid them on the back across a couple timbers from one truck to another. No distortion of the metal whatsoever, but the paint won't like it, if it matters. Use carpet as a pad if it does.

Yep, worked fine. Didn’t seem to flex at all. Gonna make it a lot easier to work on the bottom. As for the paint, this will add to the patina. Thanks for all the replies.
