Bed swap question
Hey does anyone know if you can take a 70s short bed and put it on a 64. I like the head lights on the 64 but the tail lights on the 70s. Just wondering if it is possible to do before I waste time looking for a bed.✌

Re: Bed swap question
I believe it can be done but it wont be "bolt on" simple. First you have to see that the overall length is compatible between the two. Then does the wheel well line up with the rear tires. Then there is the matter of addressing the height & the actual mounting to the frame.
I'm not sure if the width of the rear axle changed enough to create clearance problems.
I assume your 64 is a D100

Re: Bed swap question
When you refer to the 70's bed are you talking about the late 65 to 71 beds. 72 to 80 are Tin Grilles.Burningrubber wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 1:10 pmHey does anyone know if you can take a 70s short bed and put it on a 64.
