tranny paint color

anyone know what the correct color for a 62 manual tranny should be?

My 62 W300 was basically rust color, with maybe some black paint residue under the road grime, when I got it in 83.

lol most are like that. I think I will go 40s style and hit it with silver maybe ww2 dodge engine gray

I painted the 435 in my 66 W100 black. Bellhousing is engine colour.
