I see that Detroit Muscle Technologies stocks masticated rubber used for engine well and under fender splash shields. This material is commonly used to replace the stock Dodge truck frame rail splash shields. So we can get the material but as most of our rigs are 50 years old they most likely no longer have the original frame rail splash shield.
Does anyone have a picture or description of how wide to cut these and how they look installed? I believe they used the large head splash shield clips also available at Detroit Muscle. Anyone have an original they can look at and send pictures? Thanks!

Re: Masticated Splash Shield
While I understand the desitre for original materails in a restoration, has anyone tried EPDM or corded nitrile in this application? For those of us interested in 'long lasting' as opposed to 'original,' it might make a difference.Stubs68 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 7:10 amI see that Detroit Muscle Technologies stocks masticated rubber used for engine well and under fender splash shields. Re: Masticated Splash Shield
I just ordered a pair yesterday from https://www.dodgeconnection.com/catalog ... 678964.htm. For $12.95 for a pair, I can't fool around cutting them out of a sheet.

Re: Masticated Splash Shield
Thank you for the post and suggestions. I already bought the material so will look at "martincom's" post and pic to see if I can replicate. Looks like I can figure it out by the picture of the shock mount. Thanks again. Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Masticated Splash Shield
When mine arrive, I can trace them out on some heavy paper stock (Diet Coke 12-pk carton) and mail it to you for a template, if that'll help.
