Fender dogleg question

Post by fireguyfire »

I media blaster my genders from my 70 d100 and am replacing some rot in prep for repainting.
I am guessing the very bottom of the dog legs of the front fenders just roll under where the bracket joins, but I am wondering if someone could post of photo of this area of one of their fenders to confirm that before I fab up a repair panel.
The lower dog leg is more rotted on the other fender, and the bracket is missing so I can’t use that as a guide.

Did that hurt when you media blasted your genders?

That would certainly make a guy lie prostrate.... :joker

I wish I could help with a photo..... but I can't resize them. :pale
The bottom of the fender does roll over that bracket though, as
you described.

If these are the same as a '67 I have a front clip I can take pics of. It happens to be off and upside down already :)

One more pic so you can see how far that bracket should extend. I notice a good bit of yours is rotted off.
