Doors - Swapping out Doors from Different Models

Post by RonHall76 »

Up here in Spokane, WA. Have a 66-67 W200 that is a bit of a mutt. Cab had door closing mechanism from earlier years (refrigerator style) that was modified to take a later 67-68 door (push button) and it's latching mechanism.

Question: Live in an area that has a history of grain harvest trucks, also some small town public works vehicles. Have seen a number of higher number model trucks (600) that appear to have the same doors as W200 I am working on. Wondering if the doors from these models would fit traditional pickups? Thinking about adding a set of generation 2 (68/69) to my 66/67 mutt with it's already modified mechanism.

Have service manuals but not finding any info.
