Do you modify the Ford brackets or the original Dodge brackets?

No I did not, but a former member here did and posted how he did it. I will see if I can locate the thread.

Did anybody save a picture of the brackets B5ALIVE created? They are no longer available through photobucket.

Were they modified from the Ford bracket or a Dodge design. I bought the Ford bumper and getting ready to make something happen.

Can these also be used for the Utiline trucks? Or is there another option for Utilines? Thanks.

I'm sure you can make it fit. I've seen straight bumpers
on the backs of Utilines before. :2cents

I assume this bumper is not original. Would anyone recognise it, what vehicle it would have been for? Thanks.

The factory Utiline bumper is a tough part to find.
If you have any old bone yards nearby, take a look
around them. That bumper was used into the '70s
Lifestyle pickups, which increases your chances
slightly.

Here's my Ute bumper I made, sort of a modern take on a Barden bumper.
Not everyone's cup of tea but I like it. I used 2 aftermarket bumpers and some diamond plate steel, people with fab skills probably wouldn't have to buy 2 bumpers. I set it as high as I could for a few reasons, I think it looks good that way on a power wagon but also I plan on doing a flip down license plate fuel filler. The higher the filler the higher I can put the tank underneath. I'm doing a little body work getting ready for paint right now.

So here it is in mock up stage. I ended up with the Ford F100 style, I used there brackets too. I was able to use the first hole in the frame with the bracket, re-drilled bumper as frame is wider than a Ford. Welded up old holes and cut 1" from back of bumper (by plate) to push closer to body. Oh what color white are the bumpers?

Don't know about the colour but that looks really good.

What is the total length of the bumper? I am thinking something similar for my Utiline but would like to know how far the bumper will stick out from the side of the box.
