Can't find a picture of the seals if there is any, I think mine could be leaking as they have been taped off.

your probably right , it's gone. I used some HVAC foam strip with adhesive tape on it. Mine you mine is a 1970 with AC so I took the heater box of to replace the passenger side, the driver side i just put is in as best as i could.
as I say "everthing could be anything but nothin is always somethin"

Removed the a/c duct tape and took a picture, doesn't appear rusted. Might have to send some water down and see where it shows up. Where are the drains located?
