sunvisor brackets

Post by bigclipper13 »

Does anyone know what size screws hold the visor brackets to the roof of a dodge d100 1963 town wagon?

It is an 1/2 inch oval head self tapping bolt (notice the slot and taper on the bottom half of the threads), I'm not sure of the exact size, it is larger than a #10 and smaller than a 1/4 inch bolt. Maybe a #12??
Hope this helps you get closer to finding what you need

My driver's side visor had the same screw aqmet shows above, but my passenger side had a different set of screws, same head, but coarse threads.

I assumed that this was because the passenger visor was an option in 65 and it was install at a different location on the assembly line.

12-24 It's an oddball size these days, used in other places especially in the doors. You'll more than likely need to go to a bolt supply house to find replacement.
