Bucket seats ID

Post by my5thmopar »

The guy I got these from said they were from a late 70s Dodge Adventure truck. Anyone know what these are from?

If they are that late of a seat... then probably came out of a 78 - 80 Dodge 'Lil Red Express or a Warlock.

Thanks I guess that’s what they are. Mine have the metal medallions intact. I didn’t see the foam but, I guess something else will work. Any idea if these will work on the 71 Buddy seats? I’ve got an want ad on here too. Craig

They do look a little different than the 71 buddy seat I have. I’m trying to get a good set out of both. Craig

The replacement seat covers do not come with emblems, no longer available. Make sure you hang on to them. I just finished Dart buckets for a CSS Clone package I putting together and was lucky to have good emblems. Not sure how the late model frames compare to the '68'-'71. :thinking

I’ll hang on to the emblems. I have a frame from a 71 Adventure truck. Where do you see the foam?

I don't see it listed. I would call them to see if they have it or an alternate. Looks like the A/B body foam might work. I completely rebuilt my buckets. From frames up. PITA but kinda fun. :thinking

Those seats most likely came from a Lil Red Express or Warlock truck (1978-79?). I have two sets of them that I got from the Lil Red Express. Very similar to the original CSS Sweptline buckets. A bit easier to find but getting rare. Legendary sells the covers for both the seat and buddy seat.

So called Lil Red or Warlock seats were an option for all models. I parted out a highly optioned 77 D200 Adventurer SE with the Buddy Seats.
My buddy's grandfather had a 76 D200 Reg Cab Highly optioned truck back in 76 he ordered new. Even had power windows. That truck I drove a couple times. :thinking :thinking
My truck is younger than me.
