defroster duct hose - using 1-3/4 instead of 2 inch

Post by hmaynord »

my long one gave up the ghost years ago. now live 25 miles fr gulf of mexico, so rarely need it.
$40 for 2" to fit.
or get 2 feet of this 1-3/4" for $23 and put foil tape around the gap:

other suggestions?

How about something like this?

any kind of flexible hose will work, just consider the material for offgassing etc.

Bought mine at O’Reilly. They have the metallic or plastic. Craig

thanks wally and craig for the suggestions. I'll check out the metallic ones.
I guess it doesn't make much sense to say, plastic just doesn't seem right, but then I'd be OK with using foil tape over something that doesn't fit.
