Screw clip Heater Controls

Post by DicksDodge »

I am missing one of the spring clips/nuts for the plate that holds the radio and heater controls. I have attached a picture. Any idea where I can source one of these?

That is called a cage nut. Try the box/hardware stores. Online for sure. :Thumbsup

Before ordering, check the number on your cage nut if visible. The number indicates the thickness of the panel that your inserting the nut into. For example, the .028"-.056" fits 20 awg - 16 awg metal. The .093"- .126" would be for heavier metal like large enclosures. The size of the bolt is listed on the other side of the nut on the newer manufactured nuts. 3816= 3/8", 5618=5/16", 1420= 1/4".

Thanks for passing that on. I didn’t even look at the ones for the trans cover. I measured mine and bought those from McMasterCarr. I usually buy hard to get stuff from them.
