Wiper Blade Refills
Wiper Blade Refills
I have read several posts over the years about finding suitable wiper blade refills for our trucks. If any of you still use the original Anco Red Dot wiper arms; there are NOS blade refills on eBay. I have done the hit and miss thing and bought my share of refills that didnt fit. These are Atlas blades {made by Trico I think}. Search for Atlas 13CR and you will find them. The seller also has 12 inch for the earlier trucks and several other sizes. I bought a few pairs just to have them when needed.

69 up just run 67-86 Ford wiper arms. Pop right on and refills are dirt cheap/plentiful.
If I didn't build it, it ain't mine.

Other than old Bug stuff maybe? Haven’t really looked much, my old timer is wiper free. Come to think of it, the windshield gasket finally let go this past spring. Only held the glass in place for 70 years...

Re: Wiper Blade Refills
I have a '69 donor truck available for my '68 build. So what you saying is that my '69 wiper system will fit my '68 body such that I can use the Furd arms and blades?

Re: Wiper Blade Refills
I think the 68 and back have a different layout. Spline size, location on the cowl.
If I didn't build it, it ain't mine.

Re: Wiper Blade Refills
Thanks, I'll keep an eye on it as I do the demo work. If it's workable, I'll put up a thread.

Re: Wiper Blade Refills
Complete 69 to 71 wiper arm assembly can indeed be mounted in a 68 and older cab Remove all parts including wiper motor and switch and spot welded mount for right side wiper pivot and cowl also needed. If you notice the 69 to 71 cabs spot welded right pivot is beside one that's for 68 and older applications. I don't have a pic but its very easy to see.Wildergarten wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 2:44 pmThanks, I'll keep an eye on it as I do the demo work. If it's workable, I'll put up a thread.
Buddy of mine retrofitted a 70 system into a 66 D100 years ago.

Re: Wiper Blade Refills
I really need some solid refills for my ‘68. They still have the original blade holders on them. I do not want to replace the arms or blade holders. I’m looking for the slide in blades only.

Hagens Auto Parts, stocks from 1924-1970. No idea how/if they ship, but if anyone has it on the shelf, it would be them. One of the few things I miss from Washington state.

Re: Wiper Blade Refills
Scott,
My original post on this is a source. They are about $10-12/set but they fit the original Anco red dot blade holders perfectly. Search eBay for "Atlas 13CR or Atlas 12CR depending on if you need 13" or 12".

Re: Wiper Blade Refills
I just found a original pair of 12" Anco red dots for my '64 to replace the cheap aftermarket ones the previous owner had installed, according to the parts manual it uses Turtleback 800's which is what I got. I don't know if this helps for refills but it should take a 12" curved windshield Anco Turtleback refill, not sure on the actual Anco part number.

Re: Wiper Blade Refills
I got em off Ebay never used in the original box for $15 on a bid with one other person, they had been listed weirdly so I guess not many people found em.
