Window Glass

Post by Dirtybird46 »

Does anyone know the correct name for the rubber channel piece that holds the window glass into the window track for the 64 D100. Or better yet, if and where I can get replacements?

Thanks
Jason

I believe this is what you're talking about? You can also buy the metal CHANNEL too. The part number for the METAL Sash channel for side windows Steele Rubber Part NUMBER: (70-0641-58) This is listed for a 1955 Buick (Metal channel) but it is the same width as the Dodge Truck window channel. You will NEED TO WELD on your "slides" to the channel though.
Go to https://www.steelerubber.com/ and type in these part numbers:

70-2170-57

OR

70-2169-57

Good luck with it!! I didn't mention that the difference between the two types is the "thickness" of the rubber. So... just be aware of that. :salut

I found it easier to just use 100 percent silicone. Just fill the channel and stuff the glass in and let it set up. I've done 4 windows that way with no problems. :Thumbsup :2cents
