Buddy buclets

Post by sambudo »

Regarding buddy bucket seats what years fit into a 68? 67-69
Or were they made per the specific year of the truck? Would a 69 seat fit into a 68 truck?

Are they the same rails?

Thanks

An original Adventurer style '69 seat will bolt into earlier year Sweptlines
as long as the frame for the seat is also original.

Yes, later (72+) seats use a different seat mounting set-up but you might be able to fab

1967 bucket seats are a different style and have no middle seat. The 68-71 seats should all be the same. Maybe some colors weren't available all years. D/W 300 and any larger truck used different seats as well.

I got a set of buddy buckets in sad shape for $50 3 years ago. They were from a 1968 and fit perfectly Into my 1964 without any modification. I had them recovered for $750.
I’ve been looking for another set for a friend for several years and they seem to be extremely hard to find now.
Good luck

In my opinion, Sweptline era bucket seats are nearly impossible to find. I think between salvage yards & forums, I have about $350 or so in my seats. I recovered the buddy seat but was lucky to find good used seats to make a nice set. I sold the excess parts.
