Bed repair
Finally gathered enough parts to start my project. Question is how do you go about replacing outer bed panel if floor is good?

Re: Bed repair
Just wanting to know if it is spot welded to inner bed side and if possible to separate the outer from the inner.

Re: Bed repair
Removing the inner bed( ribbed) from the outer (swept part) is a spot welded pain. I couldn't do it. Not to say you cant though. Spot weld drills and or grinding. The top is what did me in.

Re: Bed repair
Ok. Was afraid of the spot welds being a pain. I have 4 beds to try to make one good one. One is 65.5 two are 68 and last one is late 69-71 it has the dude markings on it. Trying to just use the 65.5 and the 68’s. Thanks for info.
Re: Bed repair
Depends on if you want perfect show type or frankentruck (mine) or in between. With some carefull cutting in hidden areas with maybe a plasma cutter you should be able to get something .
Good luck.
Good luck.
