door hinge question

I've just started the full rebuild of my door hinges on my 70 d100 as per the pinned thread here on the forum; today I separated the 2 parts of the hinge and bead blasted both.
My issue is that the original hinge pin is rusted to the inside of the long part of the hinge. It appears to be a cast piece so I am wondering the best method to remove it; would heating it with a torch be a good idea or is there a better way before I start the hinge rebuild process?

Others may know a better method but I cant see why torch red hot and driving that pin out would be bad.

So yes avoid roasting hands etc! Ha Ha.
Maybe also let cool slowly? These are not heat treated parts are they?

They appear not as cast parts but rather forged parts. Due to that and their thickness, you could heat them and run a tank over them and not cause any issues.
