I installed my windshieId using one from restoration specialties last spring. It was pretty good except on either side of the top two corners the glass didn't quite seal to the windshield tight enough on its own. Needed a little sealer which the glass guy did when he came to do my back glass. The guy said it was normal for reproductions seals. Still looks good but just to let you know what you may encounter.

I found that the original lock strip is just a hair thicker than the replacement stuff and makes the it seal better. so if you can save the original in one piece I would re use it. this problem was more extreme on my small back window installs.

Just got one in and it's too big. Think I'll order from the Steelrubber link above. Looks like nice stuff. Twice the price but I guess you pay for what you get.

I think you would have been better off eating rubber and trying to poop your own. Wow!!! that is really bad.

Where did you get your seal from?

Got it from Decade Auto. I e-mailed them and they got back to me right away. They said to install it in the truck and then put the glass in. I followed their instructions last night and it worked! The rubber fits the windshield frame! I have to call the glass guys now. .... You're never too old to learn. ... Sorry for the 'hyjack' but it may help others. ... Eric.

Glad to hear the DAP seal worked out.
