Armrests?

Post by spoilerecw »

Hey guys my 62 D100 doesn't have any door armrests in it nor does it look like it came from the factory with them. I have a couple doors off a 64 that came with armrests. What year did they start putting them in the pickups or was it a option? Also what year did they start with seat belts, mine also has none?

Armrests were optional in 61 and were standard with the Custom cab. Seatbelts were standard in 1965, possibly before.

We bought a one year old 1965 and there were no seat belts in it. Maybe late 65 had them?

My 65 Series I Utiline had no seatbelts and no provisions for them. I bought it from the original owner.

I've had some 69's with seatbelts and some without. They were at least optional until 69.

It was either late 65 or 66 that they became standard.

Here is a 67 brochure and seatbelts are listed as standard equipment:

1966: http://www.oldcarbrochures.org/index.ph ... Pickups-05

Late 65: There is a brochure listed on ebay as 1965. It is either late 65 or 66 but I can't find a year on it. It shows seatbelts as standard.

Early 65( No mention of seatbelts being standard and not shown in the photos):

seat belts in cars were federal requirement in 67. my 66s never have had seat belts. I ma not sure the law applied to trucks but I think it did.
