67 D400 cab compatibility question

Post by moparbay »

Hello all,

I just came into an opportunity to buy a 67 D400 (I think 67, small back windows, pie plate grill, push button door handles) cheap that has an almost rust free cab (A little around each front cab mount) but soild rockers and steps, pretty much a virgin truck with a long flat bed on it. Sweet grill and no holes drilled into it like my 65 W100 i just bought. It has a slant 6 / NP435 / have no idea about the rear axle. Best part, its about 3 miles from the house.

Here is my question:

Will the 67 D400 cab bolt up to a 65 W100 without any mods?

Thanks

I think the floor transmission hump is flatter, but I suppose it could be made to work.

Are you talking about the removable dog house or the part of the floor beyond the dog house? thanks

The floor opening is lower on the 300 series trucks and up. You can use the cabs but you will need to cut out part of the trans tunnel hump to install the 100/200 floor pieces. When you look at both floors it will become apparent what is different. And steering column hole through floor is in a different spot so you will have to address that area also. :thinking :thinking :thinking :thinking :thinking :thinking
Answer to your question is Yes you can make it work. :Thumbsup :Thumbsup
