Rare Hood emblem

Post by HJS »

I've bought a 69 adventurer that was to far gone to save, how ever it did have a hood emblem that appeared to be made for the hood, it's the dodge tri star. I've never seen one before and can't find much of anything about it any info would be great

Was on many Custom pkgs also. Not all Adventurers. I have/had about a dozen.

I recognize it having been on 69 and 70 but don't think I've seen it on a 71. All share the same hood. Did they offer that on a 71?

This is the emblem on my 69 Adventurer. If you look close, you'll see that the factory installed it crooked.

69-71, only.
Way more rare than the emblem are the turn sig indicator lights on each front corner of the hood.

I have one on my base model 70. It does have upper side trim too. The hood that was on my 71 parts truck had the holes for it but that hood could have come off any truck. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the trucks that had it and the ones that didn't.

521 restorations have some items related to our trucks including the hood mounted turn signals.
