Retractable seat belt cover removal
Is there a safe way to remove the covers off the retractable seat belts. Are mine the only ones fighting not to be removed?

They're a pain. There is a tit on the inside of the plastic that pops into a detent. Been 15+ yrs since I did one so kinda don't remember the details - only the agony....

Sort of like a safety cap on a bottle where you pinch the two apposing pressure points before turning. You squeeze and pull. The head of the belt is larger than the hole and is a tight fit thru the cover. Cover will need to be warm and pliable or it will split.

So what's wrong with setting beneath a single pull string incandescent light bulb writing angry letters?

Gotcha. Thanks guys. These things don't like being messed with! They look like they come off simple but just fight back

Warm and pliable helps. I used a heat gun to soften it up. I tried a hair dryer first but that didn't work.
