Front Cab Mount Bolts and Rubber

Post by Silas »

Hello All,
Just about to get my 68 D100 Utiline cab back from the body shop where I am having all the rusted panels repaired with Exline metal. I replated the rear cab bolts, washers and plan to clean and reuse the original rear rubber mount bushings. In the front I plan to cut 1/4" thick nylon reinforced semi truck mudflaps into the proper size but I'm not sure what the dimensions are. I believe I read in a post I can no long find that the original rubber spacers were 1/4" thick and 2"x2". Is that correct? Also, the original front cab mount bolts were removed by the PO so can someone please tell me what type and size they are supposed to be? Are they carriage bolts or hex head bolts or...? And what size (diameter and length)? Thanks ahead of time for your assistance.

DO NOT use carriage bolts! Best to use hot dip galvanized (not zinc plated) or stainless.
