This is a '65 and I'm assuming the wheel is original. I've tried what the manual says, compress and turn clockwise 1/4 turn, but no luck. I'm also assuming that my manual's instructions apply to this style of horn/wheel. I realize that's a lot of assuming. Anybody know any tricks to remove the button?
How to remove my horn button?

By the way - I ended up using one of those rubber grippers for opening jars to get a better grip on the button when trying to turn it. Worked like a charm!
