A/C box- inside- far right side.? box

I Did some REAL looking into this A/C system today. it appears that there is some sort of distribution box missing off the far right side behind glove box. There had to be some sort of flapper in that end though with a vacuum pod to control it, because as I said before, there are two vacuum lines there that are not hooked to anything. when I look in the hole -I can see the evap core inside , dead center behind the center dash vents. .
I also have two small tubes that come through the firewall on the engine side directly behind right valve cover, and I am wondering what those tubes were for ?? thanks - Crossy
