W300-d200 cab swap

Post by beardo1422 »

I have a 70 w300 that is in overall good shape except the cab. Floors are rusted out with the firewall and doors.
I have the option of buying a complete 67 d200 in much better shape, and it's even the same color.
Everyone says the cabs are different, but how different are they, and could I swap the 200 cab in place of the 300 cab, and use the 300 front clip?

Thanks

The main difference is in the floor. 300's used a straight frame, 100/200s had somewhat of a drop center frame, though not as much as the 72-up trucks.

With some work I think it could be done. Does the donor cab include mounts/hardware?

Also there are many interior differences between a 67 cab & 70.

Yea the truck is complete bumper to bumper. Might just pick it up anyway weather I swap it or not.

Stuff like door handles, wiper motors & whatnot changed, making some pieces not interchange. But nothing that can't be overcome.
