Town Wagon Windshield Gasket

Post by maxmac »

Does anyone know if the Restoration Specialities windshield gasket (Part #990815-WS) for the '61-'71 dodges will fit a '66 Town wagon??? It seems as if the windshields on the Town Wagons have a bit more "wraparound" at the edges than the pickups did.

Here's the link to their product: http://stores.restorationspecialties.co ... ld-gasket/

**NOT ALLOWED** also lists one, but specific to the Town Wagons, #821112WS5. Link to his site: **NOT ALLOWED**/town-paneltown-wagon.html

Danno also lists one: http://www.dannoenterprises.com/605Page.htm and his is about $35 buck cheaper, but again is specific to the '61-'71 trucks.

Any input from those of you who have done this, and/or have experience with the Town Wagons is appreciated, as always!!!!

Town panel glass is different and rubber i would suspect also. The Town Wagon and pick ups from 58 to 66 (Depending on model) are the same cab as the C series Dodge/Fargos from61(whenever first C Series 500 and up was made)to 1975. :thinking
Someone else can add some more to clarify whatever I am missing. :thinking :thinking

I assumed as much given the way the glass wraps around the sides of the truck... the 61-71's didnt look the same.

Does anyone know a vendor who sells the correct gasket for the Townies/Fargos/ etc?

So it looks like the '56-'60 pickups have the same windshields as the '55-'66 Town Wagons. I did find a vendor in CA that has the gaskets: http://www.autoobsession.com/55-66dodge ... asket.aspx

I will likely order one this week so I can get this truck buttoned up!!!!
