mirrors, anyone?

Post by naloleal »

Having a hard time finding some mirrors, anyone know of a good site to get some?

Problem I run into is the mirrors have no permanent stationary part, so when I'm driving on the freeway the wind knocks them around.

Any help for this 66 d100?

Interested in this myself too. What were the factory options? My '64 D200 has some bulky tri-mounted (probably from a newer Dodge) mirrors mounted, but I can tell a different style was originally there as there are screws/bolts in holes in areas where I imagined mirrors were mounted previously.

Has anyone mounted non-factory mirrors and if so how did that look?

Are you guys talking mirror heads or the mirror mount? or referring to the mount and mirror as 1 unit?

Mirror heads can be found if you know where to look; mounts are also becoming available and you will find Used sometimes. Bud posted above will probably have the parts.

I bought a set from Mark and they arrived at my house in the UK on Friday.
For now they have had a quick coat of black hammerite.
I fitted them to the truck yesterday afternoon...I couldn't be more pleased...they are excellent!
Mark is doing this for the love of the truck and not for a huge profit... so I don't think you could get a better deal.
Highly recommended!
Regards
Mick
