Me as well David. Keep in mind the actual scoops then were not near as tall as some of the aftermarket versions available today. The original style looks great but the taller versions not so much since the proportions are way off..

The Ramchargers must have made their first scoops using the trunk lids off 1958 Chryslers.
I made a couple that way many years ago and the groove down the centre looked exactly the same.
Of course, nowadays a 58 Chrysler trunk lid would cost way more than a glass scoop!
The differing depths would depend on if you had clearance problems with aftermarket intake manifolds.
My Performer RPM is about 5 inches taller than a stock manifold so I might end up with clearance issues.

I did some measuring on how it would fit and came up with this. Not the best Photoshop job but you get the idea. The dimensions are all pretty close.
