hood shim question

Post by 68fish »

Hi all,
I read jim M section on how to adjust the hood. My passengers side rear corner is a mile high. After doing all he said, I still had to use just over 1/2 of an inch worh of shim!!! It did the trick, hood looks better than it ever did. I used about 1/4 of an inch on the drivers side. Are you guys using this much shim to get your hoods down in the rear?? Im guessing I have another problem somewhere If I have to shim it that much.

The hinge most likely also has a lot of wear. The shims are just taking up that extra "slack"...
