Re: Rusty roof
if it is as bad as it looks in the picture I would cut that section out and weld in a new piece of metal. once metal gets rusted and pitted that bad its hard to keep it from coming back. I use the sharp object test. use a nail or something pointed and if you can push it through the metal at all you need to cut that metal out. otherwise you will end up with small holes that you cant see in the metal and it will bleed through the paint after you paint it. I don't care what kind of body filler you use, all metal, tiger hair or what ever. if it is thin enough to poke a hole in and it is not cut out it will eventually come back.

Re: Rusty roof
The pic is misleading then. There is plenty of good metal. the area can absolutely stand up to sand blasting. *without any creating any holes and eating through that is.

Re: Body & floor pans Q
I believe exline uses 18 where others have used 20. Not 100% on original but I want to say 18 or 19 from factory. I used 16 because it's what I had but it's a bear to work with sometimes.
