My 66 D100 is rusted extremely bad. I have a 69 D100 I would like to swap the complete 69 cab over to the 66 frame. Is that possible with reasonable modification? Or would it be better to move my rebuilt Slant 6 engine, NP435 trans, and all other new parts to the 69?
Thanks for any advise you can provide.

Re: 69 cab to 66 running gear swap
You can use the 69 cab on your 66. Just remember to swap 66 pedals and hydraulic clutch setup to 69 cab and you may have to slightly modify cab fire wall for master. Its very do able.
My truck is younger than me.

It all depends on your idea of " reasonable modification " . I wouldn't do it, but others might. There are many changes between 66 and 69. What is your time worth and what do you want when you are done? These are questions you have to ask yourself.
I sold all of my sweptline trucks, except the invisible one. I just couldn't stand to see it go!
