block sanding filler primer
block sanding filler primer
Let me start off by saying my truck is 100% apart. When I go to block sand my filler primer, should I reassemble the truck, sand, then take back apart or can I do each part individually? Thanks in advance.

Re: block sanding filler primer
I always do it with everything on the body so you can line up the edges for doors and such as well as match and body line issues. I'd also paint it together though....
On my truck, I am not fully painting so I painted my tailgate and hood off of the truck since I didn't care about body line issues.

Best to do block sanding with doors/hood hung as wally has already said. Longer block on flat panels is best. Generally block at 45° angles to include across panel lines. This will greatly reduce the chance of ending up with what is called "panel dive"...the reflection in the paint diving up or down at any given panel line.
