3 hole mirror post backing

Will a door that does not appear to have ever had the three hole mirror post still have the backing nuts for those three big philips screws?

There is a possibility. Can you remove the door panel and run your
hand up into that area? Just a thought. :2cents :Thumbsup

If it is the passenger side, it will have the holes through inner skin( you can see them with the door panel off. Not sure about the drivers side.I have never seen one w/o the holes. :thinking

passenger side. I will remove inner door panel to check but was hoping to not have too as I have a stripped set screw on both the inner door handle and window crank!

As was suggested the three holes existed through the inner skin on my passenger side door. No nuts in there but you cant have everything.

Believe they are 5/16 NC.
