Hood adjustment

Post by usdart »

My hood looks good it just sits an inch too high at the hinge area under the windshield. I looked at it and there seems to be no adjustment to lower it anymore. I loosend the bolts and tapped it down as far as it would go, but, still sticks up about the same. :banghead
Any tricks out there?

Just loosen the 2 front bolts on the hood side of the hinge and add shims. That raises front and lowers backside. There is also a thread in this area that explains in more detail and has pics. Ernie

Thank you.....all the pictures really helped me. I was able to adjust it to near perfect with a 1/2" of spacers. It worked very well. :salut

Yea those pictures help a TON of people on and off the forum I get calls daily for hoods and refer them to the pictures before buying. Those adjustments have saved some sweptlines some cash. They really appreciate it.

Jim68's CD is priceless. if you don't have it yet get it!
