Door lock and keys

Post by virginiad100 »

If you need door locks...there is a place in GA that has new sets for $100 or more (I think they are listed somewhere here on this site...I forget), and I found some on eBay on occasion-- or ask here in the forum---or go to a junk yard. I also found some at NAPA and also at RockAuto.com...but they did not fit my D100 with the trim--check with them first as they are very reasonably priced. But if you have a set of locks with no keys (like I did), I found and used a locksmith that did my set for about $20 plus a few dollars for shipping. He's located in Warrenton VA, but I just mailed him my set and he rekeyed them and sent them back. His site is http://www.carlocksandkeys.com and you can email him. Hope this helps someone!

I was able to get my door locks rekeyed locally, but had to go to one of the older smiths.
The cover for the tumblers is pressed on and several smiths wouldn't touch them,
but I finally found one that would and knew what was going on. The comment was
something like "haven't had to do one like this in quite a while". I sprung and had
both my trucks keyed a like.
