Yes, the late 65 to 67 grill will work, but you need an early hood, the '68 hood wont work. You need a '61-'67 hood.

I think it will actually fit. I've seen flat hoods on all years of Sweptlines and vice-versa. It is possible that the hood will hit the top of the grille where the pie plates go but it has been done before.
