Post by juddoats »

does anyone know if anyone makes the ribbed metal for beds in sheets that you can buy and cut to fit? my bed is in good shape but the ribbed bottom is rusted out in a few places and is very bent up

Try:
http://www.jcwhitney.com
http://www.millsupply.com
You'll have to ask to see if the ribs are the same width and
distance apart. :study

I have a bed that i'm willing to hack up if needed. I believe the floor is in pretty good shape. The back corners are jacked up, I'm out in the Dallas, Tx area.

Finally got a chance to measure the ribs. The 77 ribs are 1 5/8ths, both rib and flat, with a 1/4" rise. Both the 66 and the 69's have 2" ribs and flats with 1/8th rise. Hope this helps. Mike

I called millsupply and they said they only had specialized panels for trucks other than Dodge. (80's Chebbies and Phords)

I wish someone knew where they were being made and get just like a full sheet before it is cut or anything and then ue it.

The ribs wouldn't be exactly original but they would look very nice.
