Just below the grille there is a second opening in which there is a horizontal bar. I assumed that the bar would just bolt into the opening which has a hole on either end.... WRONG..... The bar has three mounting bolts, one in the center and one just in from each end, none of which comes even close to the holes in the opening.
There must be some sort of brace or bracket that mounts to the truck and in which the bar mounts to. The factory parts book shows nothing but the bar in the illustration and I can't seem to locate anything in my parts stash.... It was mounted there at one time and I removed it.... but it has been years ago.
Can anyone enlighten me .....????
